In March 2002, Monaghan County Development Board launched a 10-year Strategy for the Social, Cultural and Economic Development of Co. Monaghan over the period 2002-2012. To view it in more detail just click on the plan cover displayed above.

The County Development Board was set up to ensure that as many people as possible would be involved in deciding how Monaghan should look in the year 2010 and beyond. The ethos is one of partnership and collaboration between all the statutory, private and voluntary organisations, groups and businesses, all of which have a part to play in improving the quality of life of people in Monaghan.

The County Development Board is operated through the Office of Community & Enterprise, a section within Monaghan County Council. This office supports the activities of the Board and its Working Groups, and ensures that the voluntary sector are properly represented by providing support to Monaghan Community Forum.

This website is designed to help you have your say in the strategic planning of Co Monaghan's future development, and to help you fit your plans in to the overall framework. If there is anything you think we could do to help you participate more fully, please contact us on info@monaghancdb.ie
